Folk high school walk on the Camino – a review

I want to give thanks for the best experience I have given myself, and one which, to a great extent, I can also thank you for!!

The first thing I encountered was Annas Højskole's website. It appeared out of the blue and had a great deal that was exciting to offer. I experienced very professional, welcoming and likeable contact.

I was immediately captivated by the Camino and by what was in the programme.

The whole trip I found to be very well organised, and everything ran smoothly with information, flight tickets and our first meeting with Rasmus at the airport.

It all worked out so nicely, with transport by taxi and bus, they were some really lovely and well-chosen hotels, and the dinners at the local restaurants were super delicious.

It was really good that the menus had been ordered in advance, so we got to taste local dishes and wine.

It was wonderful just to walk and walk and walk, among lovely people, and then have everything else taken care of for us.

An enormous gift... the greatest reward was Rasmus!! 🙂🤗🙏

He is very likeable and warm, and he passed on super exciting knowledge to us and told, with humour, calm and a sense of overview, stories about St James, pilgrims, history, politics and details about chapels and decorations, memorials and so on, and I found that he had answers to the many questions that came up along the way.

Rasmus had a wonderful grasp of the day, and of the group, which split up over the course of the day and could become a challenge. He handled this with great calm.

SO nice that he spoke the language and was on home ground. It was very reassuring!!

And the man can sing and compose too! 😆⭐

It was also SO nice with the fine pilgrim words that we reflected on, and the way Rasmus got us to turn them over in our heads... food for thought and for our onward pilgrimage, onward in life!

I could surely have found lots more good things to say, but I'll stop now, and say, once again....... THANK YOU FOR A FANTASTIC JOURNEY!!

I'll come again on one of your other trips, or else I'll walk the Camino again!! 😍🌻
